As a system administrator, it is very useful to be able to automate all the boring stuff and to have the computer slave away for us. While I prefer to use bash for most server related tasks, when it comes to handling more complex tasks, such as monitoring programs, working with the REST API, doing penetration tests or handling defensive security, an interpreted language, like Python, comes in handily.

As it is not possible to survive as a system administrator without mastering Vim, there will eventually also be tutorials on how to efficiently use Vim in practice.

The following scripts and tutorials are designed to make the life of poor system administrators a lot easier.
